COLORADO SPRINGS, Colo. – The Augustana swimming team was one of 480 institutions named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the fall 2019 semester.
 
The Vikings' team GPA of 3.31 placed them on the list and as the 27 Augustana members are part of a representation of 17,685 student-athletes honored by the CSCAA. The list includes both men's and women's teams from all three NCAA divisions along with the NAIA and NJCAA.
 
"I cannot be prouder of our team on being recognized as an Academic All-America Team," Augustana head coach Lindsie Micko said. "The young ladies epitomize what a student-athlete should be. As we head into the end of our season, this award adds to the great year we are having in the pool."
 
Augustana, ranked No. 22 in the latest CSCAA Coaches' Poll, competes in the NSIC Championships beginning Wednesday, Feb. 12 and continuing through Saturday, Feb. 15 in Bismarck, North Dakota.
 
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
