Augustana Track and Field Readies for NSIC Indoor Championships

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- After months of training and events, the Augustana track and field teams are set to compete this weekend in the NSIC Championships hosted by Minnesota State in Mankato, Minnesota. 

"Both teams are excited for the Championships this weekend," head coach Tracy Hellman said. "I have been impressed watching both teams improve each week and the coaching staff is optimistic for a great team showing to cap off the indoor track season."

The Event
Competition will begin Friday at 9:30 a.m. with field events followed by running events at 1 p.m. Competition resumes Saturday at 9 a.m. with field events followed by running events at 1:30 p.m. The awards ceremony is set to begin at approximately 6 p.m. The full schedule of events can be found here.

Last season at the NSIC Championships, the men took fifth-place while the women took third place, highlighted by Olivia Montez Brown's first place finish in the pentathlon with 3,712 points.
