Jordan Barth Named NSIC Player of the Week

BURNSVILLE, Minn. -- After a fantastic weekend series in Augustana's sweep of Southwest Baptist, junior Jordan Barth has been tabbed the NSIC's Player of the Week the conference office announced Monday afternoon.

The NSIC Preseason Player of the Year destroyed Bearcat pitching over the weekend going 8-for-12 with five runs scored, seven RBI's, one homer, one double, one walk and two stolen bases. In game three, the junior went 4-for-4 with a double and three RBI singles for a total of four RBIs on the day.

Barth has now hit safely in every game this season, owns an 11-game hitting streak, and has 21 hits, nine RBIs, five doubles, a homer and three stolen bases. He is currently hitting .477 with an OBP of .489 and SLG% of .659.

Barth and the rest of the Vikings are back in action next Tuesday, March 10 for their home-opening doubleheader against Briar Cliff. First pitch is set for 3 p.m.
