SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's basketball team has two conference matchups slated for this week. Augustana opens up play inside the Sanford Pentagon on Thursday hosting Sioux Falls slated for a 7:30 tipoff. The Vikings then head to Marshall, Minnesota, to face Southwest Minnesota State inside the R/A Facility, Saturday with a 5:30 gametime.

The Cougars
Sioux Falls enters Thurday's game 3-3 on the season and 0-1 in conference play. Most recently, the Cougars are coming off a week split, falling to Southwest Minnesota State (75-67) on Tuesday night. Sioux Falls returned on Saturday to defeat RMAC foe, South Dakota Mines (70-57). Sioux Falls was selected to finish fourth in the South Division and finish fifth overall in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Megan Fanning leads the Cougars in scoring with 16.8 points per game while Dallie Hoskinson averages 5.3 rebounds per game.
The Mustangs
Southwest Minnesota State is 4-1 on the season and 1-0 within the NSIC. Most recently, the Mustangs opened up conference play defeating Sioux Falls (75-67) on Tuesday night. SMSU was picked to finish second in the South Division and seventh overall in the NSIC Preseason Coaches' Poll.
Meleah Reinhard leads the Mustangs with 18 points and 6.6 rebounds per game.
The Vikings
Augustana is 3-1 on the early season while being 0-1 in the NSIC. Last time out, the Vikings split a week of games coming up short against Wayne State (73-61) on Tuesday night and bounced back inside the Elmen Center on Saturday to defeat Briar Cliff (77-64).
Lauren Sees is leading the Vikings in scoring averaging 14.3 points per game. Against Briar Cliff, Sees set a new career-high for 3-point field goals made draining five beyond the arc.
