SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--Sophomore Cade Mueller was named the NSIC Wrestler of the Week after a thrilling weekend.

Mueller went 2-0 at 174 pounds last week for the Vikings. On Friday in Augustana's dual against Nebraska-Kearney, Mueller defeated Billy Higgins with a takedown in overtime for the sudden victory.

The Vikings traveled to Mankato, Minnesota, for a dual against Minnesota State on Sunday. Mueller defeated No. 2 Trevor Turriff of Minnesota State by way of 3-2 decision. In the match, he used a takedown and an escape to pick up the win.

Augustana wrestling returns to action in the New Year at the Viking-Warrior Open on January 8, hosted by Midland University.
