SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana men's swimming & diving program has a conference home. The Augustana Athletic Department has accepted an affiliate membership with the Great Lakes Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (GLIAC) beginning with the first official year of the program at Augustana in 2021-22.

"This is a great opportunity for our men's swimming & diving program," Augustana Director of Athletics Josh Morton said. "After we announced in November our intention to add men's swimming & diving, we went to work to find the right fit and that was with the GLIAC.

"We are excited for the future of our program here at Augustana and giving our student-athletes a chance to compete for a championship."

Augustana, which will continue as a full member of the NSIC, received unanimous acceptance into the GLIAC for men's swimming & diving.

The Vikings will become the seventh member of GLIAC men's swimming & diving and will be the second affiliate member, joining St. Cloud State. The five full GLIAC men's swimming & diving programs include Davenport, Grand Valley State, Northern Michigan, Saginaw Valley State and Wayne State (Mich.).
