SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana track & field teams will be competing in two meets this weekend with a small contingency attending the GVSU Extra Weekend Meet in Allendale, Michigan, and at the NSIC Outdoor Challenge in Mankato, Minnesota.

GVSU Extra Weekend Meet

A small group of Vikings will make the trip to Michigan to compete in the two-day meet hosted by Grand Valley State. 

Field events on Friday start at noon while running events will take place in the evening starting with the 5,000m at 7:25 p.m. Both field and running events will start at 11 a.m. on Saturday. There will be live results available at GoAugie.com/Live. 

NSIC Outdoor Challenge

A full team will be competing at the NSIC Outdoor Challenge hosted by Minnesota State.

Field events will start at noon while running events are slated for 1:30 p.m. There will be live results available at GoAugie.com/Live. 

Last Time Out

The Vikings are coming off a big weekend competing at Drake Relays and the Kip Janvrin Open. Augustana had an individual winner and two relay winners at the historic Drake Relays. Alec Kray won the seeded 5,000m in school-record fashion, both distance medley relays also took home Drake Relay titles. Rebekah Rairdon also had a big performance running a provisional qualifying time placing fifth in the seeded 3,000m steeplechase, a performance that earned her NSIC Track Athlete of the Week honors.

NSIC Preseason Field Athlete of the Year Tyl Woelber took home victories in two events at the Kip Janvrin Open winning the high jump and the javelin throw. He also placed second in the long jump.
