BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Augustana senior JT Mix has been named the NSIC Player of the Week after the first week of the baseball season. He helped Augustana go 2-1 including a win over No. 3 Central Missouri at the Houston Winter Invitational this past weekend.
 
Mix, hailing from Farmers Branch, Texas, batted .308 with four hits in 13 at-bats. He totaled five RBI over the three games played in Minute Maid Park, home of the Houston Astros, while stealing two bases and scoring a run.
 
In the 13-4 win over Arkansas Monticello, he totaled three RBI. In the 6-5 win over Central Missouri, he singled in the game-winning run.
 
The Vikings are back in action March 5 at Florida Southern for the start of a three-game series. That jump starts the annual Spring Trip to Florida where the Vikings then play six neutral-site games over six days.
