Sioux Falls, S.D. – The No. 24 Augustana women's swimming & diving team opens up postseason action Wednesday in the NSIC Championships. The four-day event takes place Wednesday through Saturday at the Midco Aquatics Center in Sioux Falls, South Dakota. Sioux Falls will be the host of the event this year.
The swimming prelims will take place each day at 10 a.m. and the finals begin at 5:30 p.m. The schedule of events can be found

The top-16 finishes will score team points in the event. The top three finishers in each event will also be named NSIC All-Conference.
This season has been a real team effort for the Vikings. They currently have 18 swimmers in place to score points for them in the NSIC Championships. Of those 18 swimmers, five swimmers have top-five finishes in the conference. Makoa Mongomery is currently second in the NSIC in the 50 free event and has a NCAA 'B' Standard in that race also.
Kamryn Robarge is currently fifth in both the 50 free and 100 free.
Leaona Coha has five top-five races in the NSIC. That is led by a 'B' standard in the 500 free. She is also in second in the 400 IM, third in the 1000 free and 1650 free and fourth in the 200 fly. Laura Matuck also has fifth place in the NISC in the 400 IM. Fourteen of the 18 swimmers also hold a top-10 place in the conference in at least one event this season.
Nesrien Jelliti is also someone for the Vikings to watch. During the Augustana vs. Sioux Falls meet this season she made her NSIC debut by beating out current NSIC leader Inte Pas in the 100 breast. She is currently seventh in the conference for the 100 breast. She also is in tenth place in both the 50 back and 200 breast.
Taylor Beagle has shined this season for the Vikings. She is a three-time NSIC Swimmer of the Year and three-time swimmer of the meet at the championship. During the regular season, she has conference-leading times in the 200 free, 500 free, 1,000 free, 1,650 free, 200 IM, and 400 IM. All of these times are within the NCAA 'B' standards.
Beagle also has an 11
th place in the 200 fly in the conference. Along with those times she is a part of the conference-leading 800 free relay team also including
Amaya Street,
Libby Breckon, and Robarge. Beagle has also racked up a total of three NSIC Swimmer of the Week honors this
season.
Minnesota State was the preseason favorites this season. It was followed by St. Cloud State who had numerous Player of the Week honors led by Madison Brinkman. She won Diver of the Week honors four times this season. Meredith Matchinsky of St. Cloud State also won two Divers of the Week honors. The Vikings were picked fourth in the preseason poll this season
