BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Augustana women's distance medley relay of Patty Jo English, Ella Heinitz, Cami Streff and Nicolette Schmidt have been named NSIC Track Athletes of the Week.

The distance medley relay placed first at the Mines Winter Classic in Golden, Colorado, on Friday night. The relay time of 11:55.96 broke the Steinhauer Fieldhouse record. With altitude and track conversions, the time ranks first in the nation at 11:32.29.

The Vikings will once again have a weekend of multiple meets. Augustana will be competing at the Gorilla Classic hosted by Pittsburg State on Friday and the Ichabod Invite hosted by Washburn on Saturday. Another contingent of the team will compete at the SDSU Classic hosted by South Dakota State on Friday and Saturday.
