DALLAS–The National Collegiate Baseball Writers Association released its NCAA Division II National Players of the Week awards for the week ending on March 20, 2022. Sophomore catcher Drey Dirksen has been named the National Hitter of the Week. 

Dirksen totaled nine hits in 16 at bats over Augustana's doubleheader against Minnesota Duluth and three-game series against Bemidji State. Six of Dirksen's hits were homers.

The sophomore also logged 17 RBI and maintained a batting average of .563. In Augustana's 10-0 victory in game one against Bemidji State, Dirksen went 3-for-4 with three RBI. 

Dirksen's slugging percentage over the five-game weekend was 1.688.

The Vikings earned the 17th spot in the most recent NCBWA Poll with the victories over Minnesota Duluth and Bemidji State.
