BURNSVILLE, Minn. – Lawrence Lokonobei earned his first NSIC Track Athlete of the Week honor in the final weekend before the NSIC Outdoor Championships.
Lokonobei, hailing from Salt Lake City, Utah, ran his two fastest times in the 110m hurdles at the Deb Schulz Open on Friday in Mankato, Minnesota.
He lowered his school record both in the preliminary round (14.25) and in the final (14.20) to take second in the race.
His time ranks him third in the conference and 21st in the nation in the event this season.
Lokonobei also lowered his personal best in the 400m hurdles, running 53.90 to win the event.

The Vikings will travel to Aberdeen, South Dakota, to compete in the NSIC Outdoor Championships held Thursday through Saturday.
