BURNSVILLE, Minn.--JT Mix earned NSIC Player of the Week honors, announced by the conference Monday. Mix helped the Vikings defeat Minnesota State 2-1 in a three-game series to claim the 2022 NSIC regular season title. The weekly honor is the second this season for Mix.

Mix, a senior from Farmers Branch, Texas, hit .636 in a three-game series against No. 14 Minnesota State. He led the Vikings with seven hits and four RBI while recording a double and a triple in the series that helped Augustana win the regular season title.

The senior went 5-for-5 with a run scored and two RBI in Saturday's 7-2 win.

Augustana and Sioux Falls will host the NSIC tournament in Sioux Falls, S.D. on May 11-13. The top eight NSIC teams will participate in the conference tournament. The Vikings are set to play UMary in the first round of the tournament.
