Scouting the Marauders
UMary enters this weekend 8-5 overall while holding a 7-3 record within the NSIC. This past weekend the Marauders swept USF, 71-59, and SMSU, 89-74.
The Marauders are led in scoring by Megan Zander averaging 16.4 points per game. Zander also leads the squad in defensive rebounds averaging 3.8 a contest. In total rebounds, UMary is led by Moriku Hakim averaging 5.5 rebounds a game.
Scouting the Beavers
Minot State enters this weekend's contest 6-10 overall with a 2-8 record in the NSIC. This past weekend the Beavers saw a win against Sioux Falls, 64-38, and a loss against Southwest Minnesota State, 58-75.
The Beavers are led in scoring by Kate Head averaging 15.8 points per game. Leading the MSU defense is Natasha Elliot averaging 4.8 rebounds a game. Viborg Jonsdottir leads Minot State in steals and assists averaging 3.3 assists per game with 1.8 steals a contest.
The Vikings
Augustana returns this weekend with a 13-3 overall record and a 7-3 record within the NSIC. The Vikings split this weekend with a loss against Northern State, 62-60, and a win against MSU Moorhead, 64-40.
Aislinn Duffy continues to lead the Vikings in scoring, rebounds and assists. Duffy is averaging 15.8 points, 7.9 rebounds and 4.6 assists per game. She leads the NSIC in assists and is ranked 28th in the nation with 69 assists. Duffy continues to lead the NSIC in double-doubles with six so far on the season. She has accumulated 14 double-digit scoring games so far this season and seven games with double-digit rebounds.
One Last Thing
Augustana leads the NSIC in field goal percentage and field goal percentage defense. The Vikings rank 15th in the nation in field goal percentage with 45.5 percent. AU has only allowed a 36.6 percent field goal percentage for opponents this season.
