SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The No. 18 Augustana Viking wrestling team saw four individual victories, including three against ranked opponents, in a 23-14 loss against No. 7 Wisconsin-Parkside on Saturday afternoon inside the Elmen Center. 

The dual opened with a match between two top-3 wrestlers at 125 pounds. Jaxson Rohman led 3-1 through the first period and 6-3 through two. Rohman put the match away early in the third, earning a reversal to open the third, and fought off a late comeback with an escape to close the decision and give the Vikings a 3-0 lead. 

One of the more memorable matches of the day was at 149 pounds, as Cael Larson upset the No. 6-ranked 149 pounder 9-5. Larson fired out of the gate, forcing a stall warning before opening the scoring with a takedown. Up 4-2 after a period, it was again Larson that played the aggressor, allowing an escape and earning another takedown to help give him a 7-4 lead through two. Larson closed the match out in the third, earning an escape and stall point to win the match and bring the Vikings within 11-6. 

The final ranked victory of the day came at 184 pounds. Trailing 1-0 into the third period, Cade Mueller earned an escape to send the match to overtime against the No. 5-ranked 184 pounder. After going scoreless in the overtime period and a UWP escape in the first tiebreak, Mueller flipped the tide, earning a reversal in the final seconds to claim the 3-2 victory. 

In the most dominant showing of the day, Max Ramberg collected a pair of takedowns in the first period. He added a takedown and four nearfall points in the second, and then closed out his match with a third period takedown to solidify a victory via tech fall.
