AUSTIN, Texas – The Augustana volleyball team had
Erika Bute named to the Academic All-America Teams announced Wednesday. The teams are selected by College Sports Communicators (formerly CoSIDA).
Bute received the Academic All-America honor for the second consecutive season. It is also the second year in a row being named to the second team.
"We are so proud of what Erika continues to accomplish during her time at Augustana," said head coach Jen Jacobs. "She truly is the exemplary model of a STUDENT-ATHLETE. A leader on the court, and in the classroom."
Academic All-America honorees were selected after earning CSC Academic All-District honors in November. The CSC Academic All-America teams include student-athletes who have reached at least sophomore academic and athletic standing at her institution, maintain a 3.50 or higher cumulative grade point average, and at least in his second academic year at the institution (first year transfers are not eligible) while being competing members of the varsity travel squad.
The Division II and III CSC Academic All-America® programs are partially financially supported by the NCAA Division II and III national governance structures to assist CSC with handling the awards fulfillment aspects for the 2022-23 Divisions II and III Academic All-America® programs.

Her 2,259 digs are third amongst active career leaders in all of DII, and 11th across all levels.
