BURNSVILLE, Minn. – In the midst a dominant junior season, Maya Wente was recognized as a second team all-conference honoree, the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference announced on Wednesday.
 
Wente—a Canby, Minn., native—has recorded 298 kills so far this season with a rocketing .349 hitting percentage. She currently ranks seventh in the league in hitting percentage and is fifth in total kills while also sitting second in total blocks with 118 and third in total points at 371.
 
In her combined years as middle hitter at Augustana, Wente has totaled 523 kills and 213 blocks alongside a career hitting percentage of .308 and 662.5 total points.
 
She was also named NSIC Offensive Player of the Week for the first time in her career on Monday following a career-high performance in a weekend against Minot State and University of Mary.  
 
Augustana will wrap up the regular season with a road trip to Northern State on Friday and MSU Moorhead on Saturday.
