INDIANAPOLIS – The Augustana swimming and diving team will be sending four individuals and four relay teams to the NCAA Swimming & Diving Championships in 2024.
Bryn Greenwaldt has qualified for three events, while
Nesrine Jelliti and
Meesha Montgomery have qualified in a swim each. On the diving platform,
Avery Lommel has qualified for the 1M and 3M dives, marking the first diver to earn her way to the qualification meet.

The NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships will take place March 12-16 in Geneva, Ohio.

Greenwaldt, the two-time NSIC Swimmer of the Year, will swim individually in the 50 free, 100 free and 100 backstroke. She holds the second-fastest time in the meet in the backstroke, hitting a qualifying mark of 53.52 while she is also a favorite in the 50 free with the fourth-best time of 22.81.

Jelliti's 100 breaststroke time of 1:02.78 places her ninth nationally entering the meet. She clocked in with that time just over a week ago at the NSIC Championships.

Montgomery will swim the 100 free where she has the nation's 15
th quickest time at 50.43. In addition, she's been invited to swim in the 50 and 200 freestyle swims.

Lommel, the NSIC Diver of the Year, will make her maiden voyage to the championship site where she will compete on Tuesday to earn qualification into Thursday's 3M trials and Saturday's 1M trials.

In addition, four relay teams have earned qualification with the 200 medley, 400 medley, 200 free and 400 free. All four relays set school records in 2023-24 with three of the four earning those records at the NSIC Championships. Amongst the swimmers joining the qualified individuals as part of the relays are
Amaya Street,
Angelina Chan and
Makoa Montgomery.

Greenwaldt is a two-time All-America honoree, having earned a spot on the podium in the 50 and 100 freestyle swims as a freshman. In the 200 free relay and the 200 medley relay, the Vikings return three of the four swimmers on each relay that earned All-America honors.
