Lewisburg, Pa. – The Augustana swimming and diving teams were one of 461 institutions named to the College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) Scholar All-America Team for the fall 2023 semester.
 
The women's team posted a 3.57 GPA while the men's squad held a 3.36 GPA to earn the honors. The two teams were part of 18.716 student-athletes chosen based on their outstanding academic performance during the fall semester.
 
"The dedication to academic excellence displayed by these teams is truly commendable," Samantha Barany, executive director of the CSCAA said. "It is heartening to witness student-athletes thriving both in the pool and in their academic pursuits. The CSCAA is proud to recognize and celebrate the hard work and commitment of these teams."
 
The Augustana women are currently ranked No. 15 in NCAA Division II and the reigning NSIC Champions. The men's squad, just three years old, will be competing in the GLIAC Championships beginning Friday, Feb. 9 in Holland, Michigan.
 
Founded in 1922, the CSCAA is the nation's first organization of college coaches. The mission of the CSCAA is to advance the sport of swimming and diving with coaches at the epicenter of leadership, advocacy and professional development.
