Hartman and Martens Ready for NCAA Indoor Championships

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Two individuals for men's track and field prepare to race on the national stage in Pittsburg, Kansas as Ryan Hartman and Andrew Martens represent Augustana in the NCAA Indoor Track and Field Divison II Championship. 

The Event
The 2024 championships will take place Friday, March 8 through Saturday, March 9 at the Robert W. Plaster Center in Pittsburg, Kansas. Pittsburg State University will host the event. Complete action can be found at GoAugie.com/Live. 

Ryan Hartman, a senior from Wausau, Wisconsin will take part in the men's 5000m on Friday at 5:55 p.m. against 15 other runners. Hartman has a men's 5000m best of 13:54.41 that was set earlier this season at the Boston University Sharon Colyear-Danville Season Opener. His time of 13:54.41 set the South Dakota Collegiate Record. Ryan has also strung together an impressive resume this season, collecting three NSIC Championships and garnering USTFCCCA All-Region Honors. 

Andrew Martens will take part in the men's 60m hurdles prelims on Friday at 2:30 p.m. as he'll look to qualify for the men's 60m hurdles finals on Saturday at 5:30 p.m. Martens is coming off an NSIC All-Conference nod after finishing second with a time of 7.88. The junior runner rejoins familiar territory at the NCAA Championships after he claimed a ninth-place finish in 2023 with a time of 8.02. Martens was recently named USTFCCCA All-Region and has also been tabbed as NSIC Track Athlete of the Week as he'll look to finish the indoor season strongly.
