Mobley and Kotai Named All-CCHA Second Team

ST. PAUL, Minn. – After an 18-13-4 season, Augustana men's hockey's own Luke Mobley and Josh Kotai were named All-CCHA Second Team, announced by the conference Tuesday afternoon. 

Mobley and Kotai are the first Vikings in program history to be named to an All-CCHA team. The two Vikings are joined on the second team by, Bowling Green's Ryan O'Hara and Brody Water, St. Thomas' Chase Foley and Ferris State's Travis Shoudy. All CCHA teams are picked and voted on by the league's coaches. 

Senior captain Mobley registered 13 goals and seven assists for 20 points. He recorded five power-play goals and one shorthanded tally. The St. Louis Park, Minnesota native joined the Vikings in their inaugural season and has garnered a total of 39 points in the navy and gold. 

A Mike Richter Award Finalist, Kotai manned the net in a total of 31 games and recorded a record of 17-10-3 with a goals-against average of 1.92 and a save percentage of .936. The Abbotsford, British Columbia native was named CCHA Goalie of the Month on two occasions and garnered National Goalie of the Month honors for October and January. 

The Augustana Vikings finished its second season in program history with 18 wins, four ranked wins, and finished second in the CCHA Regular Season standings.
