SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana track and field will compete on the national stage with five qualified athletes across six events at the NCAA DII Indoor Track and Field Championships in Indianapolis, Indiana.

Bryn Greenwaldt, Ryan Hartman, Andrew Martens, Maria Pedroso and Kylee Sallee will all represent AU in the national festival. Action at the Fall Creek Pavilion at Indiana State Fairgrounds runs from Thursday, March 13 to Saturday, March 15.

Complete action can be found at GoAugie.com/Live and the GoAugie app, presented by The Original Pancake House. The app can be downloaded in the App Store or Google Play.

THE RUNDOWN
With a season-high mark of 5-08.00 at the SDSU D2/NAIA Open, Bryn Greenwaldt earned a bid to the championships. She followed up that performance with an all-conference showing at the NSIC Championships. She cleared a height of 5-06.00 for a third-place finish and the bronze medal earlier this month.

Ryan Hartman continues his convincing senior season with another trip to the NCAA Championships. He clocked a 4:00.14 at the Washburn Open to win the event, break the South Dakota state collegiate record, break the Augustana school record and set a new PR. His 3000-meter time of 7:58.48 broke another school record while helping him earn a second big to the national meet. Hartman also collected a mile run, 3000-meter run and Distance medley relay championship at the conference meet.

Andrew Martens broke the Augustana 60-meter hurdle record in a stunning 7.82 seconds, sprinting his way to a conference title earlier this month. His history rewrite earned him the gold medal and a bid to the national meet, where he'll aim to improve upon last season's finish at the NCAAs and qualify for the event finals.

In the pentathlon, Maria Pedroso and Kylee Sallee have consistently performed at a high level throughout the season. Pedroso's qualification came off a career-best performance of 3709 at the NSIC Championships, which converts to 3732 for track size. She also collected PRs in the 60-meter hurdles and shot put en route to a runner-up finish. Sallee's best also occurred at the conference meet, with a converted point total of 3664 (previously 3641). The score was a career-best along with her PR of 5-03.75 in the event's high jump, helping her to a third-place finish.
