Women's Basketball Heads North Looking To Get Back On Track

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's basketball team looks to snap a three-game losing streak, first against Minot State on Friday before a Saturday matchup against UMary. Tip-off against the Beavers is set for 5:30 p.m. on Friday before a 3:30 p.m., matchup on Saturday against the Marauders. This weekend also marks the beginning of the women playing BEFORE the men, a format that will continue for the rest of the season.

The Beavers 
Minot State was selected to finish ninth overall and fourth in the North Divison, The Beavers are 8-11 overall and 5-7 in the NSIC. Taryn Hamling leads the Beavers in scoring with 17.1 points per game. Maya Aguilar adds 11.7 points per game and leads in rebounds per game with 6.5. Jessica Mogen also adds 10.2 points per game and 3.2 assists. 

The Marauders 
UMary was selected to finish sixth overall and second in the North Divison. The Marauders are 15-6 overall and 8-4 in the NSIC. Bergan Kinnebrew leads the Marauders with 22.9 points per game and 4.2 assists per game. Allison Undlin leads in rebounds with 7.8 per game and adds 14.2 points per game. 

Series History 
Augustana is 13-3 all-time against Minot State. The Vikings are 4-2 on the road against the Beavers. In just 24 meetings, Augustana is 19-5 all-time against UMary. The Vikings are 8-3 when playing the Marauders on the road. 

Last Time Out 
The Vikings fell 93-70 against Minnesota Crookston. 

Payton Hardy earned the top spot in scoring for the Vikings with 12 points. She also added four rebounds. Isabella Sanneh added seven rebounds for a team high along with 10 points. Miranda Lomax, Greta Dillinger, and Mia Donald also all added 10 points. 

The Vikings 
The Vikings are 6-12 overall with a pair of overtime losses and a 3-9 conference record. 

In the last two games, Miranda Lomax has scored a team-high 14.5 points per game. Isabella Sanneh lead in rebounds per game with 6.0. Greta Dillinger came in hot off the bench going 5-8 beyond the arc over that same two-game span. 

Sanneh still leads the team in scoring, averaging 13.6 points per game and 9.6 rebounds per game for a team high. Payton Hardy is second in rebounds per game with 5.8. She also adds 8.6 points per game, good for third on the team. 

Kristin Edmonds has been consistent in putting up points for the Vikings, averaging 8.9 points per game on the season. Edmonds is a huge asset behind the arc, securing 40 3-pointers and shooting at .364.
