Women's Basketball Looks To Build Off NSIC Win With A Pair Of Games Against The North

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's basketball team looks to build off a Saturday victory, first against Jamestown on Friday before a Saturday matchup against Northern State. Tip-off against the Jimmies is set for 7:30 p.m. on Friday before a 5:30 p.m., matchup on Saturday against the Wolves.

The Jimmies 
Jamestown was selected to finish 15th in the NSIC and 8th in the North Division. The Jimmies are 4-8 overall on the season and 2-6 in the NSIC. Allie Berns leads the Jimmies with 14.3 points per game with Daviney Dreckman adding 10.9 points per game. Jessika Lofstom leads in rebounds per game with 5.9.

The Wolves 
Northern State was selected to finish 10th overall in the NSIC and 5th in the North Division. The Wolves are 8-6 overall and 3-5 in conference play. Izzy Moore leads the wolves with 18.6 points per games. She also adds 6.5 rebounds per game which leads the team. Taylor Tool leads the team in 3PT percentage with .394. Megan Counts add nine points per game and 4.6 rebounds per game. 

Series History 
Augustana is 1-0 all-time against Jamestown and will play the Jimmies for the first time since 2013. In 53 meetings, Augustana is 31-22 all-time with the longest win streak being 6 games. The Vikings are 19-3 when playing Northern State at home. 

Last Time Out 
The Augustana women's basketball team defeated Wayne State College 74-68 to ring in the New Year. 

Addie Hanna set herself a new career high 21 points against Wayne State going 3-4 beyond the line. Kristin Edmonds added 17 points. Isabella Sanneh and Payton Hardy both added 10 points. Sanneh also added 10 rebounds garnering herself a double double. 

The Vikings 
The Vikings are 5-9 overall with a pair of overtime losses and a 2-6 conference record. 

In the last two games, Kristin Edmonds has been a main stay for the Vikings. She has averaged 12.5 points while shooting .409. Payton Hardy and Clarissa Sauer both remain consistent players averaging 9.5 and 8.0 points per game, respectively. They also both added 6 rebounds per game. 

Coming back into the game is Sanneh, the last two games she has recorded two double doubles with 20 points and 17 rebounds against Hastings College and 10 points and 10 rebounds against Wayne State. 

Addie Hanna has found her spark on the court after scoring new career and season high 21 points against Wayne State. Hanna now averages 5.3 points per game. Maliyah Elliott adds 7.4 points per game on the season shooting .387 beyond the arc. 

Isabella Sanneh still leads the team in season scoring with 14.3 points per game after missing games against Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul. She also adds 9.8 rebounds
