FARGO, N.D. - The Augustana women's swimming & diving team finished day three the NSIC Championships on Friday, jumping into third place with 424 points at the Hulbert Aquatic Center.
Two Vikings earned a spot in the 100 Back A-Final, with
Gracin Larson leading the two in fourth after finishing 57.09 and
Ella Ward-Zeller's 57.29 was good for sixth at 57.29.
Nathalia Silva took the top spot in the B-Final in 57.73 while
Maggie Lombardi placed 12th in 58.53.
Ava Brogren and
Jisella Haskamp each claimed spots in the A-Final of the 100 Breast. Brogren earned the fourth spot with a time of 1:04.69 while Haskamp placed eighth in 1:06.45.
In the 200 Fly,
Sofia Ospina took an A-Final spot while
Maggie Lombardi and
Kierstyn Nelson each competed in the B-Final. Ospina took sixth in 2:09.52 while Lombardi and Nelson finished 10th and 11th in 2:13.13 and 2:13.39, respectively.
Margaret Reed earned a spot in the A-Final in the 500 Free, finishing sixth with a time of 5:08.56. In the B-Final,
Abbey Nynas took 11th after closing in 5:13.46 and
Tova Blikre finished 18th in 5:18.62 in the C-Final.
The night finished in the 200 Free Relay where the team of Brogren, Larson, Silva and
Sofia Hein took fourth in 1:36.00. In the B-Final, Reed, Lombardi, Haskamp and Nelson took 12th in a time of 1:37.82.
The Vikings close the NSIC Championships on Saturday with prelims at 10 a.m. and finals at 5 p.m.
