SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana women's basketball team closes out the regular season at Southwest Minnesota State at 5:30 p.m., on Thursday before hosting Sioux Falls at 1:30 p.m., on Saturday. The Vikings enter the weekend a half-game behind Minnesota Crookston for the final spot in the NSIC Tournament.

The Mustangs 
Southwest Minnesota State was selected to finish fourth overall and fifth in the South Division. The Mustangs are 14-11 overall and 12-8 in the NSIC. Audrey Swanson leads the Mustangs averaging 17.9 points per game and adds 7.7 rebounds per game. Natalie Nielsen leads in rebounds per game with 8.7 and scores 13.2 points per game. Nicole Maenke contributes 14.5 points per game. 

The Cougars 
Sioux Falls was selected to finish second overall and third in the South Division. The Cougars are 11-15 overall and 8-12 in the NSIC. Anna Vaaler leads the Cougars in scoring with 18.1 points per game. Vaaler also leads the team in rebounds with 7.9 per game. Krista Langager adds 16.1 points and 7.0 rebounds per game while Ayla Brown adds 5.3 assists per game and 9.2 points per game.

Augustana is 28-20 all-time against Southwest Minnesota State. The Vikings are 10-12 on the road against the Mustangs. In 54 meetings, Augustana is 37-17 all-time against Sioux Falls. The Vikings are 15-8 when playing the Cougars at home. 

Last Time Out 
The Vikings fell to St. Cloud State 86-53 at home.

Isabella Sanneh led with 14 points and eight rebounds. Kristin Edmonds found nine points and Addie Hanna scored seven points. Clarissa Sauer had four points and four rebounds while Miranda Lomax added six points and Maliyah Elliott added five points. 

The Vikings 
The Vikings are 9-17 overall with a pair of overtime losses and a 6-14 conference record.

In the last two games, Isabella Sanneh led the Vikings in scoring with 12.5 points per game and in rebounds with 10.0 per game. Kristin Edmonds averaged 11.0 points per game and 3.0 rebounds. Ava Pautz grabbed 7.5 points per game with 3.5 rebounds per game.

Sanneh continues to be a powerhouse for the Vikings in the points column averaging 14.5 per game on the season along with 9.6 rebounds per game for a team high. Ava Pautz has been consistent for the Vikings, averaging 6.5 points per game on the season. Payton Hardy remains consistent on the defensive side averaging 5.2 rebounds per game while also averaging 6.7 points per game. Maliyah Elliott has also been a consistent player averaging 7.6 points per game.

Kristin Edmonds has been consistent in putting up points for the Vikings averaging 8.1 points per game on the season. Edmonds is a huge asset behind the arc securing 45 3-pointers and shooting at .328.
