SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – Augustana wrestling head coach Jason Reitmeier announced the addition of three signees to the 2026-27 signing class on Friday, with Creighton Lassen, Ryan Bahnson and Evan Bartholomaus set to join the Vikings next season.

Ryan Bahnson | 141 pounds | Sioux Falls, S.D. | West Lyon High School
High School: Bahnson is a four-year starter and senior captain for the West Lyon Wildcats. As a junior, he went 46-4 on his way to a sixth place finish at the state tournament. Bahnson was named team MVP and earned the Aaron Jan Outstanding Wrestler Award at the Parker Invitational while helping lead his team to regionals. As a sophomore, Bahnson went 37-4 and was a state runner-up while going 48-8 and finishing seventh at state as a freshman. He was named team MVP in both seasons. 

Personal: Ryan is the son of Seth and Christy Bahnson. While at Augustana, he plans on majoring in engineering. 
 
Coach Reitmeier on Bahnson: "We are excited to get another exceptional student-athlete of Ryan's caliber in our program. We have known him for a long time, which makes it really special to be able to keep our local talent around. Ryan is solid in all positions and a tough competitor. He will add much needed talent and depth to our lower weights. Ryan fits our program and culture at Augustana wrestling."

Evan Bartholomaus | 165/174 pounds | Jackson, Minn. | Jackson County Central High School
High School: Bartholomaus is a four-year starter and three-year captain for the Jackson County Central Huskies. As a junior, he captained a team that went 20-4 and finished fourth in the state tournament. He was 33-9 as a sophomore, recording 20 pins and placing third at the section tournament while earning All-Conference honors. He qualified for the state tournament as a freshman when he also went 33-9 and earned all-conference honors.

Personal: Evan is the son of Brett and Britany Bartholomaus. While at Augustana, he plans on majoring in exercise science. 
 
Coach Reitmeier on Bartholomaus: "Super excited to welcome Evan to our program. He is another student-athlete who has been around our program for many years. I coached against his dad many years ago and now I am excited to coach Evan. We will push him to grow and add mass to add depth to the upper weight. We feel that Evan is far from his potential and has a high ceiling."

Creighten Lassen | 133 pounds | Omaha, Neb. | Millard West High School
High School: Lassen is a four-year starter and two-year captain for the Millard West Wildcats. As a junior, he went 25-8 and reached the state tournament where he finished sixth at 120 points. As a sophomore, Lassen went 41-9 on his way to a fifth-place finish at 113 pounds. He was 41-12 as a freshman on his way to a fourth place state finish at 106 pounds.

Personal: Creighten is the son of Erin and Justin Lassen. While at Augustana, he is unsure on his future major.
