Shaunteva Ashley (G, 5-8, Sr., Sioux Falls, S.D./Roosevelt HS) guided the Vikings to two wins in Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference play over the weekend. The senior guard recorded the second double-double of her career in an 83-72 win at home over Bemidji State on Friday with 18 points and 13 assists. The 13 assists were not only a career high for Ashley, but also just one short of the school record for assists in a game. She followed up that performance with efficient all-around effort in a wild 97-90 overtime win against Minnesota Crookston on Saturday, finishing with 24 points, eight assists, and seven rebounds in the contest. Ashley finished the weekend with averages of 21.0 points, 10.5 assists, 5.0 rebounds on 48.6 percent shooting from the field.
