Vikings travel to The Last Frontier for North Star Invitational

Storylines and history
• Augustana heads north for the North Star Invitational this Thanksgiving weekend.
• The three-day tournament will be played in Fairbanks, Alaska.
• Alaska Fairbanks will host the event, with all games being played at the Patty Center.
• Vikings first will take on Colorado Christian (0-3) on Thursday, Nov. 27 at 5 p.m.
• This will be the second meeting between the two teams in each program's history.
• Augustana won the only time the two teams played before, a 73-54 win back in 2007.
• The Vikings and Alaska Fairbanks ( meet up on Friday, Nov. 28.
• Tip-off will be at 7 p.m.
• This is the first meeting in the all-time series between the two teams.
• Augustana closes out the tournament with a matchup against Saginaw Valley State on Saturday, Nov. 29 at 5 p.m.
• The will be the first time the Vikings have ever faced the Cardinals in team history.

Cold shooting costs Augustana in NSIC opener
• The Vikings dropped their NSIC opening game to No. 3 Wayne State on Monday.
• Augustana was held to a season-low 57 points in the loss to the Wildcats.
• Shaunteva Ashley led the way for the Vikings, scoring a team-high 15 points.
• Paige Peterson had her best game of her collegiate career so far, pouring in a season-high 12 rebounds and also pulling down six rebounds in the loss.
• Sophie Kenney chipped in with eight points and a season-high six boards for Augustana.
• Wayne State was led by Jordan Spencer, who finished the night with 23 points, 14 rebounds, and five assists.
• The Vikings finished the game shooting just 31.1 percent from the field, a new season low.
