Women's basketball back on the road for NSIC play this weekend

The Vikings face Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul
Storylines and history
• Augustana heads back on the road for a big weekend of Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference action.
• The Vikings take on Minnesota State and Concordia-St. Paul.
•Augustana opens op the road trip with a meeting at Minnesota State on Friday at 6 p.m.
• The game will be played at the Taylor Center.
• This will be the 67th meeting all time between the two teams.
• The Vikings split the last year's meetings with MSU.
• Each team won their home game.
• Minnesota State was victorious in the last meeting on Jan. 17, 2014.
• The Mavericks has won four of the last six meetings between the two teams.

Vikings turn in strong showing at North Star Invitational
• Augustana spent last Thanksgiving weekend in Fairbanks, Alaska.
• The Vikings finished the invitational with a 2-1 record, losing in the championship game to Saginaw Valley State.
• Logan O'Farrell and Shaunteva Ashley each were selected for the All-Tournament team for their great play during the tournament.
• Ashley was a scoring machine in the three games, finishing with an average of 24 points in her three games.
• The Sioux Falls, S.D. native also pulled down 2.7 rebounds, and dished out 3.6 assists.
• Ashley was also 95 percent (19 of 20) from the foul line during the three-day event.
• O'Farrell did a little bit of everything for Augustana, averaging 14.0 points, 6.3 rebounds, 4.3 steals, 2.6 blocks.
• O'Farrell also shot the ball extremely well, going 13 of 24 (54.2 percent) in the three games, which included 41.7 percent (5 for 12) from the 3-point line.
• Sophie Kenney had a solid tournament for the Vikings, averaging 13.3 points in the tournament.
• Kenney scored a career-high 20 points in a 88-75 win against tournament host Alaska Fairbanks last Friday, her first game with at least 20 points in her career.
