Augustana to host St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth at the Arena for first time

SIOUX FALLS, S.D. - The Augustana University women's basketball team will host St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth at the Sioux Falls Arena for the first time Friday and Saturday. Tip-off against the Huskies is set for 6 p.m. Friday night, followed by a 4 p.m. tip against the Bulldogs on Saturday.

THE STARTING FIVE
• Augustana will host St. Cloud State and Minnesota Duluth this weekend. It will be the first time that Augustana has hosted either school at the Sioux Falls Arena
• Augustana will enter the weekend on a three-game winning streak after defeating Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State
• The Vikings hold a 16-9 overall record against the Bulldogs of Minnesota Duluth
• The Vikings hold a 35-26 overall record against the Huskies of St. Cloud State
• This will be the only meeting between each school this season

AUGUSTANA AT A GLANCE
• The Vikings are coming off two key victories against NSIC rivals Concordia-St. Paul and Minnesota State. With the two victories Augustana earned a season sweep over MSU and CSP. It was the first time since the 2011-12 season that Augustana has swept CSP and the first time since the 2010-11 season that they earned the sweep over MSU
• Augustana enters the weekend with a 13-3 overall record including a 7-3 record inside of the NSIC
• This is the Vikings best start to the season since the 2012-13 season when they started the year 14-2
• Senior Nicole Kerkhoff averaged a double-double with 18.5 points per game and 12 rebounds per game
• Against Concordia Nicole tied a career-high with 24-points while shooting over 50 percent in Field Goals, 3-pointers and Free-throws. She also grabbed 11 rebounds
• For the season Nicole is now averaging 11.9 ppg and 7.4 rpg
• At home this season Augustana is 7-1. Their lone loss came at the hands of the University of Sioux Falls, 67-59
• In conference action at home the Vikings are 4-1
• Augustana is averaging just under 1,500 fans per game at home this season
• The Vikings have four student-athletes averaging in double-figures this season: Nicole Kerkhoff 11.9 ppg, Sophie Kenney 10.8 ppg, Logan O'Farrell 10.6 ppg and Sydney Rome 10.0 ppg
• As a team Augustana is averaging 76.1 points per game

ST. CLOUD STATE AT A GLANCE
• The Huskies enter the weekend with an 8-6 overall record and a 7-3 record in the NSIC
• Away from their home court of Halenbeck Hall, St. Cloud State is 2-5, including three straight road losses
• SCSU is coming off a weekend where they lost to Minnesota-Crookston and Bemidji State
• On the Season SCSU is averaging 64.8 points per game while giving up an average of 63.7 ppg
• On the season the Huskies are shooting 31 percent from behind the 3-point arc
• SCSU has a rebounding margin of +6.2 rebounds per game. On the season they are grabbing 41.4 rebounds per game while their opponents are only getting 35.2 rpg

• The Bulldogs enter the weekend with a 4-9 overall record and a 4-6 record in the NSIC
• They are coming off a weekend where they went 1-1 with a win over Bemidji State and a loss to Minnesota-Crookston
• The Bulldogs will travel to Wayne State on Friday before they travel to Sioux Falls on Saturday
• In the last five meetings between the two teams, Augustana is 3-2. They lost to UMD in the regular season but defeated the Bulldogs in the NSIC Tournament
• When the two teams have played in Sioux Falls, Augustana has a perfect 12-0 record
• When the two teams have met in conference play Augustana holds a 10-7 advantage
• The Bulldogs are led offensively by junior Allyson Harris who is averaging a team-high 13.3 points per game. She is the only player on the team averaging double-digits in scoring this season
