FARGO, N.D. -- The Augustana Swimming team earned a second place finish at the Draggon Cobber Open over the weekend at the Hulbert Aquatic Center.
Minnesota State Moorhead won the invite with 1302 points, the Vikings used 1112 points to garner a second place finish while the University of Mary came in third place with 750 points. Minnesota Morris and Concordia rounded out the top five.

Kelsey Gilbert, Taylor Beagle, Emma Miller and Destini Oehlertz won the 800 freestyle relay to get the invite rolling. Gilbert also won the final 'A' 500 yard freestyle in 5:03.24. In the 200 yard freestyle, Oehlertz won the 'A' final with a time of 1:55.24.

In the 1650 yard freestyle, Kelsey Gilbert was the top finisher with a time of 17.10.70, while Taylor Beagle and Emma Miller came in second and third respectively.

Augustana returns to action on Jan. 12-13 for the Dragon Invite in Fargo, N.D.
