Sioux Falls, S.D.-- The Augustana swim team will hit the road for the first time this year when they travel Brookings on Friday to take on South Dakota State and U-Mary in a triangular.
Following a dominant performance in their home triangular at Midco Aquatic Center October 5-6, the Vikings are 2-0 on the season. The Vikings took first in ten events in the wins, defeating Mary 246 to 180, and Northern State 292 to 116.Â
The Vikings were lead by Junior
Destini Oehlertz. The Laurens, Iowa native was part of seven of the team's ten first-place finishes.
Taylor Beagle (1650-yard freestyle),
Micah Hudlet (100-yard breaststroke), and
Emma Miller (500-yard freestyle) also picked up first-place finishes in the Vikings last action.Â
South Dakota State is 2-2 on the season and come off victories over Valparaiso (208-71) and Western Illinois 160.5-133.5 this past weekend.Â
U-Mary is 1-2 with a victory over Northern State Augustana's triangular and a loss this past weekend to MSU Moorhead 117-180.Â
