GREENSOBORO, N.C. – Freshman swimmers Taylor Beagle and Kelsey Gilbert participated in the 500 yard race at the Division II Swimming and Diving Championships Friday morning.

Beagle, a Lead, S.D. native, won her heat with a time of 5:01.85. Gilbert, a Clarkston, Mich. native, finished fifth in fifth place in that same heat with a time of 5:10.25.

On Saturday, the two competed in the 1650 free style, with Gilbert finishing in third place in the heat while Beagle finished in fourth place. Gilbert finished with a time of 17:48.48 and Beagle completed her swim in 17:15.34.
