SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's swimming team will start off its 2019-20 season on the road when they travel to Bismarck, North Dakota, on Friday.
The Meet
Augustana will be on the road for its first three meets before hosting UMary at the Elmen Center on Oct. 19.
The Opponents
Northern State, UMary, Sioux Falls and Augustana will all be competing in North Dakota this weekend. Sioux Falls finished in third place at the NSIC Championships while UMary placed fifth and Northern State placed seventh.
The Vikings
The Augustana swimming team returns everyone back from last year's team that finished fourth at the NSIC Championships last season. The Vikings enter their fourth season of competition this year and already are making considerable waves in their short history.
At the NSIC Championships last season, Augustana took home one individual champion, one relay champion and 34 top-10 finishes along with sending one swimmer to the NCAA Championships. All four members of the 800-yard freestyle relay team return that took home the Gold Medal with a school-record time of 7:37.99. The team was made up of Emma Miller,

Destini Oehlertz.
Swimmer to Watch
Junior Taylor Beagle returns after qualifying for the NCAA Championships for the second- straight season. The Lead, South Dakota, native is the first swimmer in program history to earn All-American status (1000 freestyle and 1650 freestyle).
