Augustana Wrestling Falls to North Dakota State

FARGO, N.D. -- The Augustana wrestling team fell 32-9 to Division I North Dakota State on Sunday afternoon in Fargo, North Dakota.

Augustana jumped out to a quick 9-0 lead after a forfeit at 125 pounds and redshirt junior Brandon Carroll's 10-6 win at 133 pounds. After Carroll's win, the Bison scored 32 unanswered team points to take the match and move to 3-2 on the season. With the loss, the Vikings are now 0-2 with both losses coming to Division I opponents.

After redshirt freshman Hunter Burnett dropped a 14-2 major decision at 141 pounds, junior Keaten Schorr narrowly lost a 4-0 decision at 149 pounds.

The Bison logged two tech falls and three major decisions throughout the next five duals to balloon their advantage to 29-9. Redshirt freshman Steven Hajas lost a 2-0 decision at 285 pounds to give North Dakota State the 32-9 win.
