SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana women's swimming team opens up the postseason on Wednesday at the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Championships. The four-day event will take place Feb. 13-Feb. 16 at the Midco Aquatic Center in Sioux Falls, S.D. The University of Sioux Falls is the host school for the tournament this year.

The morning session will take place at 10 a.m. each day with the evening finals taking place at 6 p.m. each night.

The Vikings (4-4, 4-3 NSIC) are coming off a record performance at the Dragon-Cobber Invitational last Nov.30-Dec. 2 in West Fargo, N.D. Augustana broke four school records on their way to placing second with 1854 team points just 68 points behind Minnesota State who won the invite with 1922 points.

Overall, seven teams will compete in the NSIC Championships at the Midco Aquatic Center. Those seven teams are Minnesota-Moorhead, St. Cloud State, Minnesota State, Northern State, U-Mary, Sioux Falls and Augustana.

NSIC Scholar-Athlete Recognition and the NSIC Elite 18 will be presented before the finals on Friday. On Saturday just before the last finals session gets underway the seniors will be recognized and individual and team awards will be awarded at the end of finals.
