INDIANAPOLIS, Ind. -- Sophomore Taylor Beagle competed in her first event at the 2019 Division II National Championship in Indianapolis on Wednesday morning.

Beagle finished first in her heat with a career-best time of 10:12.29. With her time Beagle finished in 15th place in the nation in the 1000 freestyle after finals concluded Wednesday night.

Earlier this season, Beagle was invited to Indianapolis after swimming a 10:21.55 at the NSIC Championships.

The Lead, S.D. native will now have a day off before competing in the 500 freestyle on Friday morning and will finish up the season on Saturday in the 1650 freestyle.
