11 Vikings in 17 Events Claim USTFCCCA All-Region Honors

NEW ORLEANS, La. -- The Augustana track and field teams garnered All-Central Region honors in 17 events by 11 different athletes for the indoor season the USTFCCCA announced Monday.

To earn All-Region honors, an athlete must be one of the top-five individuals in their events in their respective region. In addition, each member of a region's top-three relay team was selected for the distinction. Top Regional Performers are denoted with an *.

Last weekend at the NSIC Championships in Mankato, Minnesota, both teams took home second-place honors. Next up for the Vikings are the NCAA Championships in Birmingham, Alabama Mar. 13 - 14. Augustana's national qualifiers for the championships will be announced Tuesday.
