SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- Augustana cross country/track and field had five members named to the CoSIDA Academic All-District teams Friday. Olivia Montez Brown, Rebekah Rairdon, Tiegen Lindner, Matt Pohlmann and Josh Schumacher were all named to District 7's first team and will all advance to the CoSIDA Academic All-America® ballot.

Due to outdoor track & field seasons and indoor championships canceled, the selections were based on career marks as opposed to the 2019-20 academic year.

Senior National Champion Olivia Montez Brown takes home the award with a 3.63 GPA while majoring in physical education. Montez Brown also earned USTFCCCA All-America honors in the pentathlon and 60-meter hurdles this season after qualifying for nationals in the events. She had the seventh-best pentathlon score in the country and the 13th-fastest 60 meter hurdles time as well. She is a repeat selection to the team, having earned All-District accolades last year.

Senior Rebekah Rairdon owns a 3.98 GPA while majoring in Business Administration. Rairdon had a great indoor season, taking home USTFCCCA All-Central Region and All-NSIC honors in the 5,000m with a third-place finish at the conference meet. She placed seventh individually at the Central Region Championship, helping lead the Viking women to the region crown while placing sixth as a team at the NCAA Championship.

Lindner, a senior, majored in exercise science with a 3.98 GPA. Lindner also earned All-NSIC honors on a DMR team that placed second at the NSIC Championships with a time of 10:05.87. He also recorded personal bests this season in the 800 meter at the NSIC Indoor Challenge on Feb. 15 with a time of 1:56.03 (second-place), 1,000m at the Bison Open on Feb. 8 with a time of 2:31.31 (third-place) and 600m at the SDSU DII Invitational on Jan. 24 with a time of 1:24.33.

Pohlmann, another senior, holds a 3.94 GPA with a major in Biology. The senior also holds the school record for pole vault in the indoor season with a height of 15' 2.25" and garnered NSIC Myles Brand All-Academic with Distinction honors this past season.

Sophomore Josh Schumacher is currently majoring in Biology with a 3.97 GPA. Schumacher ran a personal best 400m at the SDSU Holiday Open on Dec. 7 with a time of 50.33 and earned a spot on the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
