SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana track & field teams have a light addition to their schedule by traveling to Brookings, South Dakota, Saturday.

The Event

The Jackrabbits of South Dakota State are set to host the Vikings on Saturday. Field events will begin at 1 p.m. with the last event scheduled for 3:30 p.m. Running events will start at 1:30 p.m. with the last event scheduled at 4:45 p.m. The full schedule of events can be found here. 

Other teams set to compete with the Vikings at the event include North Dakota, North Dakota State, Omaha, UMary and the host Jacks. 

Last time Out

The Augustana track & field teams started their season last week at the WSC Classic in Wayne, Nebraska, resulting in several first-place finishes along with an NCAA provisional qualifying mark. 

Junior Mearah Miedema jumped to a provisional qualifying mark in the high jump at 5-7.25. This mark has her currently tied for fourth in the nation. 

Junior Tyl Woelber, the NSIC's Preseason Field Athlete of the Year, earned a personal best in the pole vault clearing 13-7.25. He also tied for first in the high jump and placed second in the 60m hurdles.

"Training has been going well for the last few months and I'm excited to continue where I left off last year," senior distance runner Austin Miller said. "One thing I'm excited for is racing on SDSU's 300m track. 

"We've been doing a majority of our training on our own 300m track, so the transition should be smoother than it normally is. We'll all feel right at home."
