SIOUX FALLS, S.D. -- The Augustana track & field teams are ready to compete in the NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships hosted by Minnesota Duluth in Duluth, Minnesota, Thursday through Saturday.
There will be no general admission tickets sold to the 2021 NSIC Outdoor Track & Field Championships. Walk up sales are unavailable. However, a livestream of each event at the NSIC Championships will be available at GoAugie.com/Live.Â
The multi events will kickoff the meet starting at noon on Thursday. The multi's will restart at 9 a.m. on Friday as running events will start at 10 a.m. Field events are slated for 10:45 a.m. The remainder of field events will take place Saturday at 10 a.m. While the rest of the running events will start at 1 p.m. A full schedule can be found here.
The Field
In the preseason poll, Minnesota State was selected first for both the men and women. Both Vikings' squads were tabbed to place second in the conference. Junior Tyl Woelber was also selected as the NSIC Preseason Field Athlete of the Year.Â

Augustana holds 29 marks this season within the top-8 spots which could translate to points for the Vikings. Among the marks, AU holds the top spot in three events.Â
True freshman Mathias Kollberg has the best mark for the conference in the long jump, having a leap of 25 feet to his name. The aforementioned Woelber has the highest point total in the decathlon with a score of 6,348 points. Senior Sioux Falls native, Alec Kray, tops the conference in the 5,000m with his sub-14 minute performance that won the Drake Relays seeded 5,000m in 13:56.24.
About the Viking Women
The Vikings hold 22 marks from this season that are within the top-8 spots that could translate to points for the Augustana. Among the marks, AU holds the top spot in two events.Â
Senior Mearah Miedema holds the top spot in the high jump with her mark of 5-8.5. Rebekah Rairdon tops in the 3,000m steeplechase with her 10:31.77 time coming from the Drake Relays.
