SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – After an unplanned weekend off, the Augustana women's basketball team is back in action for a weekend of road contests. The Vikings head to North Dakota to play Minot State on Friday, slated for a 7:30 p.m. tipoff, then face UMary on Saturday at 5:30 p.m.

About the Beavers
Minot State holds an overall record of 5-9 with a 3-4 record in NSIC play. The Beavers have had a rough start back from the holiday break having missed the first three games to open up the New Year due to COVID-19 protocols by missing games against UMary, Southwest Minnesota State and Sioux Falls.
Minot State's last weekend of competition came before the holiday break with the Beavers garnering a win against Minnesota Crookston (70-63) and falling to Bemidji State (73-62).
Amber Stevahn has been the Beavers' leading scorer this season averaging 16.4 points per game, ranking her in a tie for fifth in the conference. She is shooting 54.9 percent from the field which ranks her first in the NSIC.
Anna Counts is leading the Beavers on the glass with 5.5 boards per outing.
Minot State is fourth in the NSIC this year in 3-point field goal percentage (33 percent). The Beavers have knocked down 79 3-pointers this season averaging 5.6 3-point field goals per game.
About the Marauders
UMary owns a 9-9 overall record with a 3-6 record within the NSIC. The Marauders have not garnered a win in the New Year, having a canceled contest against Minot State, due to COVID-19 protocols, then dropping road contests against Sioux Falls (74-58) and Southwest Minnesota State (70-57).
Despite the losing weekend, Lexie Schnieder performed well for the UMary collecting a double-double against Sioux Falls along with accounting for 21 points and eight rebounds against SMSU.
The Marauders have been a threat from beyond the arc this season, leading the NSIC in 3-point field goals made (138) as well as 3-point field goal percentage (39.8 percent). Megan Voit is a big reason for the Marauders leading the NSIC in 3-point field goals made as she leads the nation in 3-point field goals made with 51.
Schnieder leads UMary with 12.4 points and 8.4 rebounds per game.
About the Vikings
Augustana holds a conference record of 3-5 in the NSIC while having a 7-5 record overall, after missing two contests due to COVID-19 protocols within the opposing teams. The Vikings are on a four game win-streak, with three of the wins being against conference foes.
Last time out, Augustana bested Wayne State inside the Sanford Pentagon, 74-63. In the win, the Vikings shot 51.8 percent from the floor and had 19 second chance points.
Lauren Sees scored 24 points, shooting 10-of-17 from the field, to go along with her six assists and four rebounds.
Her performance, paired with the win against nonconference opponent Dakota Wesleyan before the holiday break, granted her NSIC South Division Player of the Week honors. The weekly award was the first of her career.
Vishe' Rabb scored 19 points to go with nine rebounds and four assists in the win against Wayne State. Aislinn Duffy rounded out the double-figure scoring for the Vikings having 13 points shooting five-of-seven from the field to go with her seven rebounds.
The Vikings are led by Sees with 16.8 points per outing and Duffy garnering 11.9 rebounds per contest.
One Last Thing
Since returning to a starting role on Dec. 4, Rabb has averaged 13.6 points per game on 43.4 percent shooting to go with 5.7 rebounds and 3.1 assists per game. Her numbers put her third on the team in scoring behind Sees (17.9) and Duffy (15.9) and second in rebounds and assists.
