MANKATO, Minn. – The Augustana men's and women's track & field teams combined for four first-place finishes on the second day of the Mark Schuck Open in Mankato, Minnesota, on Saturday night.

Both the men's and women's teams won two events apiece. In total, four Vikings made it on Augustana's Top-10 all-time lists.

"It was another solid meet for our teams," director of track and field/cross country Tracy Hellman said. "We are progressing in the right direction and coming together as a group. We need to keep healthy and keep working as a team, but overall another very positive meet."

Lawrence Lokonobei started the running events for the Vikings, making it into the 60m hurdle finals by running a season-best 8.19 to place him second in the event. His time is under the 8.23 NCAA Provisional Qualifying time.

Patty Jo English and Nicolette Schmidt went 1-2 in the mile, running 4:58.51 and 4:58.57, respectively. The duo's performances were just shy of the 4:58.15 NCAA Provisional Qualifying time.

The men's mile proved to show similar results to the women's race with Ryan Hartman coming away with the win in 4:11.72. Colten Brand was close behind, placing second in 4:12.75. Hartmans time places him No. 8 on the Top-10 list.

Austin Miller, who was a leg on the first place DMR team Friday night, returned to race the open 800m coming in second place in 1:54.44.

The Vikings had a strong showing in the 1,000m, taking first place in both the women's and men's races.

Cami Streff won the 1,000m running a personal-best 2:53.64, soaring all the way to second on Augustana's Top-10 indoor performers' list. It was a solo effort for Streff as she finished almost 12 seconds before second-place finisher, and teammate, Mallory Delmont.

Evan Johnson won the 1,000m running a time of 2:29.62. That time was just shy of his personal best, winning the event by over three seconds.

Continuing to climb the all-time list, Janae Becher improved on her weight throw last week with a heave of 43-10.75.
