BROOKINGS, S.D. – The Augustana track & field teams completed the SDSU Last Chance Meet with personal best times and an NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark in Brookings, South Dakota, on Saturday afternoon.
Mearah Miedema won the women's high jump reaching a new season's best height of 5-8, hitting the NCAA Provisional Qualifying mark. Her mark currently ranks ninth in the nation.
Freshman Gavin Fischer ran a new personal-best time of 21.96 in the 200m climbing all the way up to No. 2 on Augustana's Top-10 list, along with leading the NSIC this season.
Miedema and Fischer were not the only event winners on the day as Kray Person won the 3,000m running 8:32.72.
In the women's 60m hurdles, freshman Nyanas Kur ran a new personal best 8.87 to place sixth in the race. Her time ties her for No. 8 on Augustana's Top-10 list.
Kur also competed in the open 60m, running a personal best 7.78 to place fifth overall. Her time moves her all the way up to No. 2 on Augustana's Top-10 list.
Freshman Kylee Sallee placed second in the long jump with a personal-best leap of 18-03 to move her to No. 7 on Augustana's all-time list.
Cami Streff lit up the track in the 600m, running 1:33.80 to place third in the race. Her time marks second on Augustana's Top-10 list.
Noa Marteau ran a new personal-best time of 1:36.28 placing seventh in the race and moving her to seventh on the Top-10 list.
In the men's 400m, Matthew Schoessow ran a shiny personal-best time of 49.57 to claim fourth overall. Jed Dooyema was close behind, clocking an indoor personal-best time of 50.07.

The Vikings return to action at the NSIC Indoor Championships being held on Friday and Saturday at Myers Fieldhouse in Mankato, Minnesota. Friday's competition will start at 9:30 a.m. with the heptathlon while running events start at 1 p.m. starting with the women's distance medley relay. Day two of the NSIC Championships is slated for 9 a.m. start for the pentathlon with running events starting at 1:30 p.m.
