SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--Augustana baseball hosts the Minnesota Duluth Bulldogs in an NSIC doubleheader on Thursday. The games were originally scheduled for a Wednesday start, but have been pushed back by one day due to weather concerns. Pups at the Ballpark will continue as scheduled on Thursday.

The Bulldogs
Minnesota Duluth has an overall record of 9-7 at this point in the season, and a 3-0 record in the NSIC after defeating Upper Iowa in its first conference series of the season. In 2021, the Bulldogs finished the season with a 17-23 overall record and a 14-20 conference record.Â
Tosten Mann leads the Bulldogs in hits, runs and RBI. Mann has a batting average of .367 in 60 at bats. He has also made starts in all but one game that the team has played.
On the mound, Russ Tanner had recorded 24 strikeouts to lead UMD. Tanner's record is 2-0.
The Vikings
Augustana's record sits at 12-4-1 overall and 2-1 in NSIC action. The Vikings are coming off of a three-game series weekend hosting the St. Cloud State Huskies. Augustana defeated the Huskies 2-1 in the series.Â
Tanner Brown was memorable on the mound against St. Cloud State. Brown was the solo pitcher in the first game of the series, going the distance in the seven-inning affair. Facing 23 batters, Brown logged 10 strikeouts and earned his second win of the season.Â
Jack Hines and Carter Howell lead the team in the run category, and six Vikings in the lineup are in double digits for hits. Jordan Barth has recorded 23 hits this season to lead Augustana.
Howell has also hit a team-high of four home runs this season.
