SIOUX FALLS, S.D.--No. 22 Augustana baseball is set to travel east for a Thursday doubleheader at Winona State. First pitch is scheduled for 1:30 p.m.

The Warriors

Winona State holds a record of 9-17 overall and 7-8 in NSIC play. The Warriors are in the middle of the pack in the NSIC standings, finding a spot at eight. Most recently, the Warriors faced Minnesota State in a three-game series, falling in all three games. The team's last win was against Bemidji State in the previous series.

Leading the Warriors with 30 hits is Carter Brinkman. He has tallied four home runs, 18 RBI and holds a batting average of .316. Dane Weiland follows Brinkman with 26 hits and two home runs, but holds a batting average of .329, the highest in the lineup for WSU.

The Vikings

Carter Howell leads the Vikings with 52 hits and 44 RBI. In total, 13 players have reached double digits in hits, with Jordan Barth following Howell at 51. Howell holds a batting average of .391 and Barth's batting average is .359. Will Olson leads the Vikings with a .405 batting average.

Tanner Brown, Augustana's career strikeout leader, holds a record of 5-0 and leads the Vikings on the mound with 68 strikeouts. Brown's ERA is 1.38. Ryan Jares has totaled 61 strikeouts, holds a 4-2 record and has an ERA of 2.43. Jares has also made the most starts for AU with eight.
