SIOUX FALLS, S.D. – The Augustana swimming and diving teams open their seasons this weekend hosting a tri-meet against Sioux Falls and St. Cloud State at the Midco Aquatic Center. The women will face the Cougars and Huskies on Saturday at 2 p.m. while the men will compete solely against the Huskies.

Head Coach Lindsie Micko welcomes 23 newcomers to compete for the men's and women's teams this year including three divers for Augustana. The Vikings women return 26 swimmers and one diver this season while the men return 13 swimmers from 2021. Augustana is eager to begin their season welcoming their largest class of divers in program history.Â
For the Women
A highlighted returner for the Vikings is the NSIC Swimmer to Watch for Augustana, Kamryn Robarge. The Big Lake, Minnesota, native, was a member of the third place team at the NSIC Championship. She placed third in the 100 free swimming a NCAA 'B' Standard time of 51.59, earning All-NSIC honors last season. Robarge set personal-best times in the 100 fly during the Augustana Invite of 59.42 and the 500 Fly vs. Northern State of 5:25.39.Â
A fresh face for Augustana brings excitement to the program. Freshman Clare Duplissis has been named the NSIC Preseason Diver to Watch for Augustana entering her first year with the Vikings and her first year in collegiate athletics. The Spring Lake, Michigan, native had high marks during her high school career that will make exponential strides for the two-year old program. Duplisses placed eighth overall in the Michigan High School Athletic Association Division I State Championship after scoring a 338.70 from the 1 meter for 11 dive.
For the Men
The Augustana men's swimming and diving team welcomes back a stellar performer Pedro Borin. Borin is coming off his freshman campaign where he became the first ever men's Augustana swimmer to compete at the NCAA Division II Championships. Borin swam in the 200-fly placing 23rd and 100-fly placing 39th place at the NCAA Division II Championships last season.Â
