BROOKINGS, S.D.-- The Augustana indoor track and field squad saw record breaking performances at the SDSU Jim Emmerich Alumni Invitational in Brookings, South Dakota, on Saturday. The invite was highlighted by Nyanas Kur who broke the Augustana school record in the 200 meter dash. 

Kur competed against top division I competition in the 200 meter dash. She placed third overall in a time of 24.62 to be the first finisher of division II. Kur also took hold of a third place finish in the 60 meter dash crossing the finish line in a time of 7.69. 

Lawrence Lokonobei and Andrew Martens saw success in the 60 meter hurdles with both advancing to the finals. Lokonobei took second place in the finals with a time of 8.06 while Martens grasped sixth in a time of 8.24. 

Augustana saw a handful of personal bests, two of which came in the 600 meter dash through Maia Peterson and Ethan Boyens. Peterson took third in the event with a time of 1:37.70, while Boyens also garnered a bronze finish crossing the finish line in a time of 1:22.70. 

For the distance squad, Cami Streff made her first 2022-23 season appearance with a second place finish in the 1000 meter run, finishing the race in a time of 2:56.83.
