BURNSVILLE, Minn. – The Augustana athletics department has once again placed the most student-athletes on the Northern Sun Intercollegiate Conference Fall All-Academic teams. Viking student-athletes tallied 97 spots on the teams with over half earning the distinction of NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence.
 
"This list of 97 Viking athletes is reflective of the excellence of Augustana," said Josh Morton" As we continue to pursue our 3rd straight NSIC All Sports Award, it's important to note that we lead the league in All Academic honorees as well as the competitive side."
 
To be eligible for the NSIC All-Academic Team of Excellence, a student-athlete must have a 3.60 cumulative GPA or higher, while NSIC All-Academic Team members must have a 3.20 cumulative GPA or higher.
 
Additionally, the student-athlete must be a member of the varsity traveling team, have reached sophomore athletic and academic standing at her/his institution (true freshmen, red-shirt freshmen and ineligible athletic transfers are not eligible) and must have completed at least one full academic year at that institution.
